    Hello,

I've been having on going problems with uploads or downloads not finishing as noted in #3 of the Fetch trouble shooting FAQ. The Fetch window is the culprit as the transcript will *usually* indicate the file is complete.

The problem here is it is happening between Macs. Most of my clients use Macs as clients and I'm running WebStar FTP 4.5 with OS9.1.

Is there anything else I can check to stop this problem? Our clients get very irritated when it happens and I can't get it to happen consistently to trouble shoot it.

Does Fetch only use port 21 for communications or do I possibly have my Firewall clamped down too tight?

    Thanks in advance,
    Greg

In the case of downloads it may work to press the Stop button and then choose Resume Download... from the Remote menu.

It seems very unlikely that your firewall would be involved, since the transfers are getting started.

I would be willing to try to reproduce the problem with your server if you provided me with a test account. Email the details to jim@fetchsoftworks.com.

    Thanks,
