I have been using a cable modem to upload 120mb files and have been getting around 60k upload speeds. I changed over to DSL and now I only get around 30k upload. I have tested both the cable and DSL and they both test around 300k up and 2.8m down. Does anyone have an opinion on these speeds or any advice on how to improve them?

Those are pretty typical speeds. Providers quote speeds in bits per second, and there are 8 bits in a byte, so your speeds translate to 480kbit/sec and 240kbit/sec. 512kbit/sec and 256kbit/sec are common upload speed ratings, so my guess is that your cable modem had 512kbit/sec upstream and your DSL has 256kbit/sec. Download speeds are usually much faster.

    Thanks,
