Using Fetch from a USB Drive (4 posts)

My PowerBook G4 is running 10.4 and I have Fetch on a USB drive. When I click the Fetch Icon, it shows up for a brief moment in the launch bar then goes away. If I copy it to the Applications folder it works fine. Is there a setting that will allow me to run Fetch from my USB drive?

    Hi,

I have just tried running Fetch 5.1 from my USB flash drive under 10.4 on a PowerBook G4, and it worked fine. So we need to figure out why it doesn't work with your setup - and to do that we'd like some more information.

Which version of Fetch are you using?

If you select the icon for your USB drive in the Finder, choose File > Get Info, what does it say the Format of your USB drive is?

    Thanks,

    Scott,

I just downloaded the latest version from the FetchSoftworks website (5.1) and the USB format is Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive, Journaled)

    Thanks
