Once today and once yesterday my cursor has disappeared. No dog, no arrow, no nothing. I run OS 10.2.2 and was running Shorten to check MD5s from downloaded large music files compressed with the shorten format. I have had to restart to get the mouse cursor back which I have not had to do very often with this OS. Anyone have any ideas?

Did the cursor come back when you switched to other applications? Do you have multiple monitors?

    Thanks,

    No.

    No.

It doesn't happen every time I use the software either.

I haven't had other reports of this problem, so I don't have a fix to offer. You might check Apple's OS X discussion boards; it may just be a coincidence that the problem appeared when you were running Fetch.
