When I log in on our unix file server I can't see any of the files beginning with a period but when I download such a file I can see that one. And that is what I would like all the time: seeing all files (with or without the period). In the preferences I do have the "Omit file names beginning with a period" unchecked and the "Treat mystery items as files" checked.....
Can anyone give me the solution for this?

    Thanks: Rob

Some servers have this problem. Fetch 4.0 comes with a script named SetSecretOptions in the Fetch Example Scripts folder, and one of the options it lets you set is "Send LIST -al to UNIX servers". That should convince your server to show you all your files.

You only need to run the script once -- the setting will be remembered.
