Which ports does Fetch use to communicate with other machines? I'd like to be able to run the simple-to-use Firewall built into Mac OS X, but when I turned it on I was unable to connect via Fetch. Turning it off cured the problem, but... I'd like to have it on /and/ run Fetch, if at all possible.

If I knew which ports Fetch was using, I could exempt them from the Firewall.

If you check the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" checkbox in the Firewall section of "Fetch Preferences" (not to be confused with the Network panel of System Preferences), then Fetch will not use any incoming ports and should be compatible with the OS X firewall. If you leave that box unchecked Fetch will use randomly chosen incoming ports, and won't be compatible with the OS X firewall.

    Thanks,
