All of my shortcuts are gone. If I try to "open" from user/library/preferences/fetch shortcuts, I get error -50. I made new shortcut list, but it will not open either. I noticed that the Fetch Shortcuts file has ugly icon, normally an indication of OS 9 file. Does any one have any idesa. I'm concidering re-installing to see if that helps. OS 10.1.3, Fetch 4.0.3 |

If you open the Fetch Shortcuts file with TextEdit do you see the shortcut names and URLs? If not it would seem that the file was corrupted. I'd recommend recovering a previous version of the file from a backup. Thanks, Jim Matthews |

I got the same error message and tried to reinstall but it still didn't work. I can't even create new shortcuts from the Shortcuts drop-down menu on the New Connection window. What should I do? Thanks for your help! |

I'd recommend quitting Fetch and removing the "Fetch Shortcuts" file from the Preferences folder (on OS X it is inside the Library folder in your home directory). Then run Fetch -- it should let you create shortcuts. To salvage the shortcuts from the old file try opening it in TextEdit or BBEdit Lite, and copying the URLs you see. Thanks, Jim Matthews |
