All of my shortcuts are gone. If I try to "open" from user/library/preferences/fetch shortcuts, I get error -50. I made new shortcut list, but it will not open either. I noticed that the Fetch Shortcuts file has ugly icon, normally an indication of OS 9 file. Does any one have any idesa. I'm concidering re-installing to see if that helps.
OS 10.1.3, Fetch 4.0.3

If you open the Fetch Shortcuts file with TextEdit do you see the shortcut names and URLs? If not it would seem that the file was corrupted. I'd recommend recovering a previous version of the file from a backup.
Thanks,

I got the same error message and tried to reinstall but it still didn't work. I can't even create new shortcuts from the Shortcuts drop-down menu on the New Connection window. What should I do?
Thanks for your help!

I'd recommend quitting Fetch and removing the "Fetch Shortcuts" file from the Preferences folder (on OS X it is inside the Library folder in your home directory). Then run Fetch -- it should let you create shortcuts.
To salvage the shortcuts from the old file try opening it in TextEdit or BBEdit Lite, and copying the URLs you see.
