PBeart New Member	posted 08-22-2001 11:00 PM Does anyone know of a SECURE FTP program? Perhaps the skilled folks at Fetch Softworks can include an SFTP (FTP over SSH) option in the next version? I need to be able to send (upload) data to my Linux Web server without sending the password and username in the "clear". I can use a secure (SSH) Telnet program, but there doesn't seem to be any secure FTP programs. FWIW, there's a new book out on this Mac security stuff, called "Internet Security for the Macintosh", by Alan Oppenheimer (PeachPit Press), that discusses the problem. I need secure FTP!!

PBeart New Member	posted 08-23-2001 08:03 PM Can you speculate as to WHEN this might occur, Jim? We're all depending on you to save us from the high cost of VPN (Virtual Private Network) installations. <grin> Any ideas as to when the upgrade (with the SFTP capability) might be ready?
