Hi Anna,
Fetch's WebView is just a tool for opening your webpages from Fetch; it does not affect the actual location of your webpage. It may be that you have WebView misconfigured so that it is looking for your website in the wrong place, even though your website is working. We can look into possible WebView problems later on, but the first thing we need to do is make sure your website is up and working without involving WebView. So for now you should put aside and not use Fetch's WebView feature.
After you upload your website, what happens if you go to your website's address in a web browser, such as Safari or Firefox? Do you see your website? Or do you get an error then?
If you get an error when trying to view your website by typing its address in a web browser, we recommend that you follow the instructions on our using Fetch with iWeb help topic.
If you're still having a problem after giving them a try, let us know and we'll investigate further.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Thanks Scott for your reply. I have done all of this, and it didn't work. I'm still getting the 404 error. Any ideas how to fix?

Hi Anna,
We'd like some more information to help figure out what's going on.
First, what is the address of your website?
Second, please do the following:
* Quit Fetch, if it's running.
* Open Fetch again.
* Connect to your server.
* Go to the View menu, and choose Refresh.
* Then go to the Window menu, and choose Fetch Transcript.
* Copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them into a reply to this message.We'll take a look and see if we can advise.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Hi Anna,
I just visited your website and it looks like it's working now and so you found the problem.
(The problem appears to have been that for an iWeb website to work correctly once you upload it, after you publish your website to a folder, you need to upload the contents of the folder - but not the folder itself - to your server. It looks like you had been uploading the folder itself.)
If you're still experiencing problems or have further questions, please let us know.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Thanks Scott. I did figure it out. The problem was on my end - I changed the name of the folder, which contained the Web site files, and I needed to 'point' the server toward the right folder. It was looking for a folder that had been deleted, which is why it came up blank.
Anyway, thank you for your assistance with this! I truly appreciate your time. Take care!

I have gone through the process of 'putting' my files onto the server multiple times, but when I go to the Web view it tells me the page is not found. I've tried deleting and redoing the process multiple times, and it still won't work. The page building program I am using is iWeb. I really need to get this site up asap, so please help! Thanks!
