It could be that the new server is behind a firewall that blocks use of passive mode transfers. I'd try unchecking the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" box in the Firewall section of Preferences (choose Preferences from the Customize menu in Fetch). Does that help?
Thanks,

Thanks Jim,
I almost wrote back late last night ...I mean early this morning because I searched through the message board and found a posting with a similar problem.I actually tried unchecking PASV in the middle of the night and of course it worked....
Thanks for your speedy reply - I was just too exhausted to write back by that time.
I'll be moving the website over to a server that I will at least ostensibly have a little more control over so hopefully I won't get surprised by the site being moved over without my knowing about it again.
Peace, Jane

I am the administrator for www.fivemyles.org.
Unfortunately, when I recently tried to update the site, I found out that the server's administrator had moved the website (without informing me). I got the new userid and password successfully but now I keep getting a connection error.
I have no problem reaching the server for another site I administer so as far as I know my version of Fetch 3.0.1 is working fine (I don't think I corrupted any files or changed any preferences/settings).
Any ideas as to What's going on?
