5.1b2 Crash (2 posts)

    I think I made a "uh oh."

    Fetch 5.1b2 crashed on me last night and wiped out a file. I had a backup, of course, so it wasn't a big deal, just thought I'd tell you what I can about it.

    I was working with Fetch and TextWrangler, editing files on an ftp server. I had about 15 files open. I did a find/replace in TextWrangler and had it save the files automatically as they were changed.

    Fetch went into action as each file was changed and saved, and opened several new windows. I guess it opens a new window when it gets bogged down with save requests.

    Anyway, I closed a couple of the windows (10 or so had been opened) and closed what I think might have been the original window. Its close button (upper- left, red) had the darker red circle in it usually indicating it had been changed. Or, maybe it was in-use and that's why the one file was saved blank.

    When I closed that window, crash. I have a core dump -- should I post it here?

    Thanks much!

    Hi Fritz,

    Could you send us your Fetch.crash.log file?

    To find it:

    * Choose "Home" from the Go menu in the Finder
    * Open the Library folder
    * Open the Logs folder
    * Open the CrashReporter folder

    Then please send it attached to an email, with the description you provided here, to bugs at fetchsoftworks dot com .

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire
