5.8.1 upgrade not accepting current license for 5.7..7 (2 posts)

  I have Fetch 5.7.7 currently installed on my 2017 iMac 5K running Mojave 10.14.6. This version is working fine. When I download 5.8.1 and trying to run, it wants my to enter my license name and serial number. After entering the required info, a dialogue appears saying "Please double-check that you entered the correct name and the serial number." I did check name and serial number on the website and it says the upgrade is free. I wonder what may be causing this issue?

  Fetch 5.8 does not recognize some very old educational use licenses issued in the early 2000s (ones that start with FETCHED). Please contact me at https://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/feedback and I can help.
