Accents and characters in French (4 posts)

    When I upload a web page written in French I lose all the accents and other special characters. I checked on Safari, Exploer and Netscape. Any solution ?

    One thing to try is unchecking "Translate ISO Characters" in the Misc section of Fetch Preferences. Let me know if that does not fix the problem.

    Another thing to do is to code the right html codes. like é is é è is è etc.... You can have fun doing it word by word or you can use this tool that converts all the most common french characters simply copy-paste your source in the box an click on "remplacer" don't select the second radio button and leave the two textifields blank (I'm explaining this cause the page is in french...)

    Yeah I meant é is &ampeacute; and è is &ampegrave;
