  I'm trying to update a friends site, but I am unable to delete or replace old files, however I am able to upload new files.
  I recieve access denied error message.

  this is the fetch transcript can someone help?

  The permissions on that file (and some others) are set in such a way that you do not have permission to overwrite it. You might try using the Set Permissions... command in the Remote menu to enable Write permissions. Another idea is to rename the file, and then upload a replacement, but that would leave you with an extra file every time you updated. So you should probably contact the server administrator to find out why the files have those permissions, and how to correct the underlying problem.
