Accessing proxy servers (2 posts)

    I'm new to Fetch and am looking for help accessing my work computer while at home. At home I have a Mac running OS X behind router. My work computer has a firewall. I'm able to access work internet services using a proxy server and internet explorer, but I'd like to access a Linux computer at my work but I'm unclear as how to proxy into my work and from there be able to ftp to the linux computer. Can you help me out? Thanks.

    You'll need to talk to your firewall administrator at work. It may be that FTP access to your Linux computer from outside the firewall isn't allowed, but if it is allowed the procedure to follow will be specific to your workplace.
