Any Shortcut except to ftp.fetchsoftworks.com gave no connection and hung FETCH requiring Force Quit (1 post)

    Today all of my Fetch shortcuts except to ftp://ftp.fetchsoftworks.com/ stopped working. The window that opened said "no connection" and Fetch immediately stopped responding and I had to force quit. I was using 5.3.1. I bought and installed 5.7.7 but got exactly the same response. Since Fetch immediately hangs, None of the menus work and it is impossible to access the Fetch Transcript. Selecting Force Quit from the Apple Menu generates a response to Apple that is 12009 LINES long. Here are the first couple dozen lines:
