I upgraded to 5.0.1 from 5.0 but still same issue. Transcript says:

It looks like your server does not like one of the lines Fetch is sending. We will investigate that.
In the meantime, you should be able to stop these errors by doing the following:
1) Choose Fetch > Preferences
2) Click on the Obscure tab
3) Check the "Do not send ADAT probe command" checkbox
4) Close the preferences window
5) Try connecting to this server againLet us know if this does not fix the problem.

What would be causing an error which states:
FTP connection to "ftp.mydomain.com" could not be opened because of the FTP server sent an unexpected response.
Check the Fetch Transcript window for more information. Server responded: "AUTH THIS unsupported"
