To restart a failed download choose "Resume Download..." from the Remote menu.

Thanks Jim,
The problem with "Resume Download" is that it requires user intervention (but they didn't even know the resume download was there so it does help). Our users will start a large download and leave the machine - since no one is there to resume the download if the connection is lost they come back later and the download is not complete.
Can you tell me if Fetch plans on adding an "Auto-reconnect and resume download" option to their client?
Thanks

That's a good suggestion -- I'll put it on the list for a future version.

OS 9.1 – Fetch 4.0.1
Does Fetch have an “auto-reconnect and finish download if connection is lost” feature?
Every now and again, during large downloads, the connection is lost. We could be 70% through a 40MB download when the connection is lost – could be any number of reasons – but, because the connection was lost we need to restart the download from square one. Can’t get it to start from where it had left off before the connection was lost.
