I would suggest trying the "Automatic" setting in Fetch 4.0b5 (which is available for testing free of charge, from this website). If that does not work, you can probably make it work by adding a suffix mapping for ASP files.
Let me know if it doesn't work.

I am in the process of updating an ASP site. I am presently using Transmit as my FTP program, but am looking to switch because it appears that using Transmit to upload/download files changes line breaks in the ASP code unless I switch to ASCII mode whenever I am uploading/downloading ASP files. However I have to get out of ASCII mode when uploading .gifs and .pdfs or these files are corrupted! Toggling back and forth between the two modes is a time-consuming pain. In Fetch, is there any way to designate "always upload ASP files as ACSII, always upload .pdfs and .gifs as Binary" in Preferences so that I can FTP without worry? Or do I need an alternate FTP program to fulfill this need? If so which one?
Thanks--
Kim
