It's probably a matter of configuring AnalogX and the "Firewall" section of Preferences (in Fetch) appropriately. I will download AnalogX and post instructions.

Sorry about the double post....
It looks like you want to turn on FTP proxying in AnalogX. In Fetch 4.0b5, you want the Firewall section of Preferences to look like this:
[X] Use passive mode transfers (PASV)
Proxy type: User with no logon
Proxy server: <the IP address of the PC running AnalogX Proxy>
The other fields should be blank.
In Fetch 3.0.3 the settings would look like this:
[X] Use passive mode transfers (PASV)
[X] Use proxy server: <<the IP address of the PC running AnalogX Proxy>
[ ] Use SOCKS gateway
Ports from [1025] to [65535].
Of course both your Mac and PC have to be configured with private IP addresses; the AnalogX Proxy readme file talks about this.
Hope this helps,
Jim Matthews

Thanks! I will try it. I did get it to work with the 4.x Beta.

I now get an error 3155 ::sigh:: It looks like I am logged on, but I don't see any files. Sorry to be a pain.

Could you post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window?

I have a PC which has a DSL modem. I am connecting my Mac to the internet using proxy server software on the PC. I get either a bad address error or 3162 error. I am not sure how to resolve this problem. The proxy server app is by AnalogX.
