Everything's been working great for a few years now, but for some reason today after uploading a file, it wasn't showing up on the online directory. Tried several different types of files and directories with the same results. Weirder still, I can drag and drop the link from fetch into the browser and it will download after a prompt for me to enter my password. Wondering what I did to make this happen and how to fix!

    Hi,

I want to make sure I understand the problem correctly before trying to give advice.

Are you saying that after you upload a file, you cannot see it listed in the file list in the Fetch transfer window? Or something else?

    Thanks,

I can see it in the file transfer list in Fetch, but it does not appear on the file directory online.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the clarification.

That sounds like it's a problem with the server.

If you see the file in the Fetch file list, and dragging it into the browser downloads it, then Fetch uploaded the file successfully.

Fetch doesn't have any control over the file directory displayed in your file browser; that's the job of some software on the server. (Fetch just delivers the file to the server; it's up to the server to do the correct thing with it after that.)

You should contact the people who run the server, and ask them to look into the problem.

Please let us know if you have further questions.

    Thanks,

Aha, figured it out on my own. My web hosting changed my ftp site. Sorry for the inconvenience!
