    Er - easily...
I want to collaborate with a friend on some audio sessions. They're personal recorded music but everyone is so paranoid about passing around copyrighted stuff.
So anyways, can you just connect to a friend easily?
    Thanks

You can use Fetch for peer-to-peer transfers but configuring your router to allow connections from the Internet is tricky. I usual recommend getting a hosting account (e.g. from Pair.com or Dreamhost.com) and using that shared location to exchange files. You can keep the files private by putting them in folders that are only accessible to the account owners.
