Cannot download nested directories (2 posts)

  When trying to download a directory from a Windows FTP server with many nested sub-directories I get the following message:

  Fetch could not open the folder "XXXXXX" because the server says you do not have the required permissions

  I am able to download nested directories using FileZilla - is there a setting in Fetch I need to set to enable nested directory download?

  Hi,

  Fetch should be able to download nested directories without any special settings.

  We'd like some more information to help diagnose the problem.

  Could you please do the following?

  * Quit Fetch.
  * Open Fetch again.
  * Connect to your server.
  * Try downloading the problem directory.
  * After you get the error, choose Fetch Transcript from the Window menu, copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them into a reply to this message.

  If the transcript is really long, you can instead email it as an attachment to us at:

  bugs at fetchsoftworks dot com

  If you email it to us, please include a short description of the problem as well.

  We'll take a look and see if we can figure out what's going on.
