I keep getting a "Server file error: [FILENAME] Directory not empty" message whenever I try to delete certain folders.

The folders are indeed empty, but whether or not they are empty has never mattered before! I've deleted many an empty folder using Fetch in the past.

I'm using OS X.3.4, if it matters. Thanks!

One thing you might try is choosing "Send LIST -al to UNIX Servers" from the Obscure Options pop-up menu in the Misc section of Preferences. If that does not help could you choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu and post the contents after you dismiss the error message?

    Thanks,

Wow, Jim, that was fast! And your solution worked - why, I don't know.

It also created two little folders marked with dots on the level above the folders I deleted.

    Thanks very much!

The "LIST -al" command is sometime necessary to get broken servers to include hidden files in its file lists (so Fetch can delete them). You can ignore the "." and ".." items; they represent the current folder and its parent, respectively.

    Thanks,
