Can't get file list because connection reset by server (6 posts)

When I try to open my httpdocs folder on my server I get the message: "Fetch could not get the file list because the connection was reset by the server." Server responded: "Data connection already open; Transfer starting."

I then press ok and get a partial list of the files that are located within this folder.

I have connected to the server with other computers and have had no problems.

    I am on a mac.

Could you try again, and then choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu and post the contents of that window? The transcript should have information that helps me figure out what is going on.

    Thanks,

That's very strange. Do you always get the same partial list?

I would try another FTP client, such a Interarchy. Do you see the same problem?

    Thanks,

    Samart1:

Sorry for the delay in responding. Do you mean yes that you always get the same list, or yes that you also see the problem with Interarchy?

    Thanks,

    Jim Matthews
