cant open data connection (2 posts)

    I have a status connected, however when I go to put files, I get a message of can't open data connection. What am I doing wrong? It worked fine on system 9 but my new Mac system 10.3.4 does not work with it.

    The first thing I'd try is choosing "Preferences..." from the Fetch menu, clicking the Firewall tab, and changing the setting of the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" checkbox (check it if it's unchecked, uncheck it if it's checked). Then click OK and choose "New Connection..." from the File menu to make a new connection.

    If that does not work, choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu and post the contents of that window; I'll see what I can figure out.
