Could you post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window from Fetch 4.0.3 on OS 9 and OS X (after connecting to the HostSave server from each), so I can compare them? Choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu to open the window.
Thanks,
Jim Matthews

It looks like your OS X machine is using passive mode transfers (PASV), while your OS 9 machine isn't, and that your server does not like PASV. So I would recommend unchecking the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" box in the Firewall section of Fetch Preferences on your OS X machine. Does that help?
Thanks,
Jim Matthews

On the one computer I can try right now, that fixed it. I swear that I was told by the service to be sure to USE passive, but it works with passive turned OFF. Work on all servers (not just HostSave) so far. Thanks for the solution. -eh

Using Fetch 4.02 & 4.03, I get that error only when using OSX 10.2x and only on HostSave servers. Other servers work fine. I have not changed settings. In fact, booting from OS9 with same Fetch settings, it works fine. This only started happening a couple of weeks ago, after working fine in OSX before that. I have message into HostSave, but hard to get through to. Anything I can do at my end?
