Hi,
No, raw binary is the correct format to uploade JPEG files.
The problem with the file name changing is probably a result of the setting of the "If a file already exists:" menu in the Put dialog. You should set that menu to "Replace existing file" instead of "Pick a different name".

i upload the file which is a jpeg (its just a 1 page file website at mo)
and it says its has uploaded it but it just changes it into a plain file with a different name and i cannot see my file name on the file list on the server, is it somthing to do with how i upload the adobe jpeg? it says upload it as a raw binary is that wrong?
