I just got Fetch and am very new to this. When I try to "put" a folder in, Fetch says that it can't create the folder because the FTP server sent an unexpected response and access was denied. What does that mean?
    Any advice would be great,
    Thanks.

    Hi,

That usually means that either you don't have permission to put folders in the place on the server that you are trying to put it, or that the folder name has characters in it that the server doesn't like, although it can also mean other things.

If you could post a transcript, we can take a look and try to figure out exactly what the problem is. To do this, after you try t put the folder and get the error message, choose Fetch Transcript from the Window menu, copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them here.

    Thanks,

This isn't everything that was in the transcript window, its just the last bit. There was so much, I only posted what it showed in the transcript window when I opened it, I didn't scroll up and get the rest. Do you want to see the rest of it, or is this enough?
    Thanks

    Hi,

    No, that's enough, thanks.

After you connect, do you see a folder named "webroot" in the Fetch window?

If so, try double-clicking on it (this will open it), and putting your files there.

If this does not fix the problem, you'll have to contact your hosting provider to try to figure out why the server won't let you put files on it.

    Thanks,
