    How do I change the default short cut from "ftp.dartmouth.edu" when I select new connection?

    In Preferences there is a pop-up menu for choosing the default shortcut. You may need to first create the shortcut. You can do that by connecting to the desired site, and then choosing "New Shortcut..." from the Customize menu.
