You should upload CGIs in Text format (also known as ASCII mode) and use the Set Permissions... command in the Remote menu to set the permissions to 755.

How do you do a chmod 755 in Fetch,
or what is the equivilent. when I upload cgi files i need to change the permissions,. also what other setting should I use for uploading cgis. I have had problems on a mac .
