Hello, I am new to both Mac's and Fetch. I used to use Flash FXP as my FTP client on Windows.

My problem is this. I am trying to access my friend's computer and it will not connect. I am typing the IP address in the Host area and the User ID and Password he has provided me with in those fields. He said to ensure it is trying to connect to PORT 21, which I entered in the field 'Non-Standard Port Number'. But, it will not connect.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help/advice you might have.

Can you post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window after you try to connect? Choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu to open it.

By the way, it isn't necessary to enter port number 21, since that's the standard FTP port. But it shouldn't do any harm.

    Thanks,
