Hi,
Assuming you are using Fetch 5, try connecting to your server using SFTP instead of FTP, and then downloading your site. If you can, that will probably avoid this problem.
Also, make sure you are using these settings in the Fetch Preferences:
* In the General pane, "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" is checked.
* In the Obscure pane, "Contact server during long transfers" is unchecked.Let us know if this helps. Thanks,

Unfortunately this didn't work. I received the following error:... the connection to the SFTP server couldnot be established or was lost.
* In the General pane, "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" is checked.
* In the Obscure pane, "Contact server during long transfers" is unchecked. The settings match but still no luck. I am using 5.0.5.

Hi,
Do you connect to the Internet through Airport or another router of some sort? Unfortunately, transferring many small files (such as transferring your entire website) through one of those devices often results in the problem you are seeing.
If you connect your Mac directly to your cable or DSL modem, your website may transfer successfully in one go. Otherwise, if you use the mirror command repeatedly, eventually all your files will get transferred - the mirror command will pick up where it left off when the previous transfer stopped.
Sorry not to have a better answer,

I've been trying to get my entire site (through "get" command as well as mirroring) but each time it starts, the dog runs, files are gotten and then it stops with this error:
The connection couldn't be accepted: Software caused connection abort
It keeps doing this, someone please help!
