Hi,
That's an error message from the server that Fetch is just passing along, so the error you're receiving isn't particular to Fetch; you'd likely get the same error with any FTP program. For some reason the server refused to create the folder that Fetch asked it to create.
My first guess - without having more information - is that the server doesn't like the name of the folder you're trying to upload; some FTP servers won't accept files or folders whose names have spaces or punctuation marks in them (such as more than one period, colons, slashes, quotes). So I'd try renaming the folder to include just letters, numbers, underscores, or hyphens and see if that fixes the problem.
If it doesn't - or if the folder already had a name that met those conditions - we'd like more information in order to help advise about the problem. Could you please do the following?
* Quit Fetch.
* Open Fetch again.
* Connect to your server.
* Try uploading again.
* After you receive the error, go to the Window menu, and choose Fetch Transcript.
* Copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them into a reply to this message.And we'll take a look and let you know what we think is going on.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Hi Mary,
The most likely cause of the problem is that your file's name includes spaces. Many FTP servers do not like files or folders whose names include spaces.
You should try removing spaces from the name (you could use underscores or hyphens instead of spaces) and try uploading again. As a general rule, for any file that you want to upload to an FTP server, you should only use letters, numbers, underscores or hyphens in the name, and nothing else.
If that doesn't solve the problem, let us know.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Hi Ruben,
The way your server account is set up, you do not have permission to upload files to that top-level folder on the server. You should first enter a folder (i.e. httpdocs) and then you should be able to upload your website.
Thanks,
Jim Matthews

Hi Ruben,
It looks like the japa.co.id server was down or not responding. It does not appear to be responding for me, either. I would recommend contacting the server administrator.
Thanks,

Hi,
I would recommend contacting the administrator of ftp.ipage.com. It appears that the server is having a problem accepting uploads.
Thanks,

Trial Copy only hours in use from download. First two uploads went well. Now I'm getting the following error message:
...Fetch could not create the folder "..." because the FTP server sent an unexpected response.
...."Create directory operation failed.".
Sorta confusing when this was working fine on several difference servers. I like the app., it's a little frustrating.
Regards and thanks for any input.
