I had posted a previous message about the length of time folders stay in the directories menu, and I'm still a bit dumbfounded.

I used to be able to have a long list of folders in the directories menu (15 and now it seems I can't keep more than 5 or 6 before they start getting dropped. I'm a bit anal and in the editing profession, so this is bugging me. Jim, you had responded there was no way to set the amount of time folders stay in directories, that it is based on available space, but I am wondering why it seems I used to have more space and is there anything I can do to get more???

Fetch currently drops directories that haven't been visited in a month, and unfortunately there's no way to change that. There's also a size limit, but that's unlikely to be the problem.

    Thanks,

I visit these directories daily, and they are being dropped at least that often. I'm not sure size limit would be the problem as my boss and co-workers are using the same directories, and they are not having this problem.

You might try deleting the "Fetch Cache" file in the Preferences folder (while Fetch is not running). That will wipe out your Directories menu, but as you visit directories they should be added back (and hopefully this time they'll stay).

    Thanks,

I have to say that the lack of directory menu persistence is one of the fundamental problems I have with the current version of Fetch. I dearly hope that you'll seriously consider addressing this feature downgrade issue, Jim.

Otherwise, thank you for your work on this product.
