We have multiple licenses for Fetch. We need a way to distribute Fetch without having to enter the serial number on every mac.
In the past we made a installer using InstallerVise that would copy over the preferences, bookmarks and Fetch to the appropriate folders.
Unfortunatly this method does not work with Fetch 4.02 and Mac OS 10.
We tried copying over the Fetch folder etc. but still it will always prompt for a serial number. Any suggestions?

You should be able to run Fetch, enter the serial number, and then include that copy of Fetch in your installer. Fetch will have saved the serial number to itself.

I have tried this. No luck. Here is what I am doing. Once I have serialized Fetch (Educational) I take the app, it's perefences and our shortcuts build a installer with Installer Vise 8. The installer places everything exactly where it is suppose to. Unfortunatley, on every machine I test it on it asks me for sn# at launch.

I am probably overlooking something. Any suggestions?

It sounds like the serial number is not being saved to the Fetch application. Perhaps the folder you are running it in is write-protected? Does the application file's modification date change when you enter the serial number?

You can re-enter the serial number by holding down Control and Option when you launch Fetch.

    Thanks,
