    Hi, I type in my hostname, password, and username and the dog keeps running until it times out. It says there might be something wrong with my network or server isn't responding but I know it is responding because my boss can get on using the above info.

    Hi,

    Could you post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window (listed in the Window menu) when the dog is running? It would also help if you could post the transcript from your boss's copy of Fetch making a successful connection.

    Thanks,

    Jim Matthews

    Hi Eric,

    Showing the transcript isn't meant to fix the problem - instead the transcript contains information that will help us diagnose the problem and suggest a solution for you.

    So, if could you please do the following, and we will try to give you advice on solving your problem?

    * Quit Fetch.
    * Open Fetch again.
    * Try connecting to your server.
    * After the dog runs for a while, go to the Window menu, and choose Fetch Transcript.
    * Copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them into a reply to this message.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire

    Hi Nathan,

    I did some tests and it doesn't look like there's an FTP server at that hostname (i.e. nathanlangley.db.4757070.hostedresource.com ). I suspect that's not the correct hostname for connecting to your site. GoDaddy should be able to tell you what the correct hostname is.

    If it is the correct hostname, then there is a problem with the server that needs to be corrected.

    Please let us know if you have further questions after talking to GoDaddy.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire

    I correctly assumed my newb status! All fixed now.

    Many thanks, and keep up the good work!
