downloading cad files (2 posts)

    I am using fetch 4.0.3 on OS10.2.6. I use VectorWorks Cad program and cannot get the downloaded file to be recognized. I've gone into customize-->Suffix mapping-->Change and pointed the program at the icon, but still no luck. Fetch reads the "Type" as MC9d and Creator as CDP3. I've also selected Binary as the transfer mode. Am I close? This is the only file type giving me problems.

    It sounds like you're doing everything right. Could you package a file that you've downloaded with Fetch (that doesn't open) and a file that does open in VectorWorks together in a StuffIt archive, and email it to bugs @ fetchsoftworks.com? I'll take a look and see what I can figure out.
