  I am trying to download a file from an ftp server which I have used before without a problem. Currently I am trying to download the file "To_SPlummer.zip" from the server and I keep getting an error.

  The error says the ftp server encountered an error accessing a file of folder. Server responded: "Failed to open file."

  This is the transcript:

  Hi Steven,

  The server is saying that it can't open the file:

  RETR To_SPlummer.zip
  550 Failed to open file.

  That could be because the permissions on that file are set to only allow access by the file owner (there is not enough information to tell whether the file is owned by your StrangBooks account).

  Was this file put on the server by a different account? If so, you could ask that person to change its permissions to allow anyone to read the file, and try again.
