Hi,
Unfortunately some servers pick strange names (such as PUREFTPD.557EC83A) for duplicated files, rather than something more sensible. We are working on addressing this in a future Fetch release. In the meantime I would recommend renaming the duplicate. The steps I would follow:
1) Select the original file
2) Type Return to select its name
3) Type Command-C to copy its name
4) Type Return again to de-select the name
5) Duplicate the file
6) Select the PUREFTPD.XXXXX duplicate (sorting the file list by Date will make it easier to find)
7) Type Return to select its name
8) Type Command-V to paste the original name, and then add something like " copy"
9) Type Return to rename the duplicateThanks,
Jim Matthews

thanks for the quick answer and yeah that worked. But there is no setting or something in this version of Fetch that will fix the problem?

No, there currently isn't a setting to fix this. As I mentioned, we are working on a solution for a future release.
Thanks,

The weird file is made instead of the dupliate whether I right-click and press duplicate or alt-drop a file. How do I fix this?
