    Hi,

Yahoo! has started requiring FTPS, also known as FTP with TLS/SSL, for their web hosting customers. Fetch 4.0.3 does not support FTPS, so I would recommend downloading a newer version of Fetch from http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/download (I'd download the newest version that will work on your Mac).

When you connect with a newer version of Fetch, set the "Connect using:" menu to "FTP with TLS/SSL" rather than just "FTP". That should fix the problem.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Jim Matthews

I just upgraded to 5.3.1 because I read above that my old version 4.0.3 does not support the TLS/SSL now required by Yahoo. I am using Mac OS 10.3.9, so I downloaded and paid for version 5.3.1; however, TLS/SSL is ghosted out and not available as an option. Help!!!

    Hi,

Fetch 5.3.1's TLS/SSL support requires Mac OS X 10.4. I would be happy to refund your upgrade fee, if you are not able to upgrade to 10.4.

I don't know of any current FTP clients that support Mac OS X 10.3.9, but you might try an old version of Transmit or Cyberduck (e.g. http://update.cyberduck.ch/Cyberduck-2.8.5.dmg).

    Thanks,

No worries about the upgrade fee Jim, and I will give Cyberduck a try. Thanks.
