Error -1 : Can't Connect (2 posts)

  Hi, I have a site that until recently I was able to connect to using Fetch version 4.0.1. on my desktop. Now I get as far as 'System version = 0x1049 Connecting to waxwingfilms.com port 21 (9/3/08 12:10:59 AM)' and it stalls. There's also been error -1, but no other info beyond that.

  I can connect to other sites on my desktop still, so it's not that I'm not online or anything. And to make things weirder, I can connect to the above server still, using the same version of Fetch, on my laptop. But I'd really like to figure out what is happening with the desktop, and why a connection that worked earlier isn't working now.

  Hi,

  An error -1 usually means that either there is a problem with the server you are trying to connect to, or that you have entered the incorrect hostname information. However, since you can connect successfully using your laptop, it doesn't seem like there's a problem with the server.

  The first thing I would try is to update to Fetch 4.0.3, which would be a free update for you, and see if that fixes the problem. You can download it from our downloads page:
