That means that the server sent a line of text that is longer than 255 characters. Fetch 4.0 will not have this problem, so you might want to try 4.0b5 (which is currently available for testing).

Jim:
I downloaded the 4.0 beta and it worked perfectly. Take that NT! I am a happy Mac user again.
I've been a Fetch user for at least four years, and am very glad to see this update. I like its revamped look & feel.
I look forward to buying the final version. Thanks much.

Trying to connect to an NT server, I keep getting "error -20002." The transcript indicates I'm connecting, and my password works:
220 web2 Microsoft FTP Service (Version 5.0).
USER gwb3m
331 Password required for gwb3m.
PASS
230-Welcome to the Micro Systems FTP Service
The frustrating part is, the FTP on my Winduhs machine connects to this server without a problem. (I hate when Windows actually works!)
Is there an NT server setting that blocks non-Windows logins?
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
