    I've been trying to connect to a RedHat server running pure-ftpd on our LAN, from OS X using Fetch 4.0. After entering my username and password, I get a message saying the connection was reset by the server. Here's what the transcript says:

    220-=(<*>)=-.:. (( Welcome to PureFTPd 0.97.7 )) .:.-=(<*>)=-
    220-You are user number 1 of 50 allowed
    220-Local time is now 17:35 and the load is 0.00. Server port: 21.
    220-This is a private system - No anonymous login
    220 You will be disconnected after 15 minutes of inactivity.
    ADAT
    421 This is a private system - No anonymous login
    USER frankg
    get_reply():con_conn->Getline() returns -3253

    I have no trouble getting in using other FTP clients (including OS X terminal).

    Also, I can get through to other FTP servers using this copy of Fetch.

    Any thoughts?

    Maybe PureFTPd objects to the ADAT command. The "SetSecretOptions" script in the Fetch Example Scripts folder lets you turn off the sending of ADAT commands -- does that resolve the problem?

    Thanks. That seems to have fixed it.
