    I get an error number -1 message when I try to open a directory on the FTP server. This happens even if I could see the directory a minute before.For example, I connect to the FTP server, open a directory, then try to go back to the top level. I get the -1 error message. If I close the connection window and reconnect, I can see the top level directory again.

    I have just downloaded Fetch 4.02 as it seems to be the only FTP client that will allow me to authenticate with our SOCKS proxy server.

    Fetch 4.0.2 has some bugs working with SOCKS gateways. If you send an email to support@fetchsoftworks.com I can send you a test version of Fetch 4.0.3 that has fixes for those bugs. Please mention whether you are using Mac OS X or an earlier release.
