error on connect to ftp (2 posts)

  An FTP connection to “ftp.NAMEOFSERVER.com” could not be opened because the FTP server has shut down.

  Try again, or contact the server administrator to verify that the server is running.
  Server responded: “Sorry, cleartext sessions and weak ciphers are not accepted on this server.
  Please reconnect using TLS security mechanisms.”

  Myself and a few of my team at work (we're all remote) keep getting this error message. We used another FTP and it was fine. Looks like a Fetch issue. Any ideas?

  Hi,

  Are you setting the "Connect using" menu to "FTP with TLS/SSL"? It sounds like that's required for this server.
