error: server dropped connection: too busy (4 posts)

  I have Fetch 4.0.3. trying to connect to a client's FTP site. Error message reads: Error Server dropped connection (may be too busy). I know the server isn't too busy as other clients can access. Any ideas? everything I have found on the net seems to be from 2004 or later.

  Hi Richard,

  The next time you get this message could you choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu and send me the contents of that window? That will hopefully provide me with some clues.

  Hi Richard,

  It looks like you are getting the error when you try to connect to 121.14.145.222. I get the same error when I try. I would recommend contacting whoever runs the server at 121.14.145.222 to let them know that it is not accepting FTP connections.
