error:server has dropped connection (2 posts)

    I am getting the message error:server has dropped connection (the server may be busy)

    I have checked and unchecked the passive mode transfers preference.

    Here is my transcript:

    Also, I am able to ftp to other sites, just not the site that I need.

    The server astamichigan.org does not appear to allow FTP connections. I would contact the server administrator and ask whether there is a different host name you should be using instead.
