I have been using fetch for years and all of a sudden my upload speeds are about 30KB/s. What should my upload speeds be?

Upload speeds typically depend on the speed of your network connection to the server, and the sort of upload you are doing. Uploading a single large file will get you higher reported upload speeds than uploading lots of small files.

Do you know what your network connection is rated at, for uploads?

I'm also getting extremely slow uploads, in the order of 1.5 KB/s. It's not my connection. Transmit is much faster but forgets to disconnect leaving lots of IDLE connections open until the server dumps it for too many connections. If I use Cpanel's file manager, the uploads are 100x faster but it can't handle nested folders.

My ISP suggested using FTP using LTS, but the server rejects the connection if encryption is on. They also suggest enabling version 1.2 encryption, but I can't find an option for that in Fetch.

Normal FTP works but is incredibly slow.

Everything I try fails in one way or another! Is there anyway to get Fetch to connect with version 1.2 encryption??

    Thanks

    Hi John,

I have a test version of Fetch that will work with 1.2 encryption. Please contact me at http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/feedback if you'd like to try it. I can also gather more information about the speed issue.

    Thanks,
