We purchased a new copy of Fetch 4.0.3 and it is working on one of our new G5 Panther machine. Our old Fetch 3.0.3 was installed in Classic on one machine as a test. The program opens and shows login screen. After entering login information, the Fetch dog runs and eventually either times out "getting the file list" or alerts that a connection was not possible. In one instance, the ftp server window appeared and "Put File" button was selected, file for upload selected, but after clicking OK to upload an error is received.

Does this indicate incompatibility with Panther and Classic? Or could there be another problem preventing proper function of the program?

We are using PASV (passive) mode for ftp access. The ethernet connection for this machine is otherwise working properly. AppleTalk is turned on and active in Classic. Carbon Lib is installed. Is there anything else we should do?

Could you post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window after you get the error? That should help clarify what's going wrong.

    Thanks,
